Something wicked this way comes. Beta is setting up a lot like Harvey 3 years ago. Storm’s not as big, so maybe the rain won’t be so big, but we fixin’ to have a week full of wind and rain from Victoria to the Louisiana line. Battening the hatches, gonna soak up a big load of cheer this evening starting ‘bout 7. Can’t hardly wait!

Hi Gang! As esteve said, l’shanah tovah to all of you! Meanwhile, i had a question–last week in #22 you mentioned your n John’s new album album coming out for Record Store Day red splatter vinyl, 2000 only etc, so i went to my great little local record store and kindly but firmly requested he reserve me one for November. He Googled around and was completely puzzled. How does a friendly local record store go about getting it? Thanks for making this year bearable guys!
That’s what it is all about ………I miss those days and look forward to the “season” when i can take my position on the “Grandparents” bench and cheer.

L’Shanah Tova to the Kaukonens and Tuna Nation
Mr and Mrs Kaukonen, thank you for all you do. It would be easy to say “see you in 3 weeks” and let everyone figure it out. Both of you would get a break from working to produce the entertainment we love and since its free who could gripe?? Instead your audience is benefiting from your devotion to us and the music. Surprise #1 this Saturday is appreciated. I am looking forward to it. Thank you. Also, I have been watching live since show 1. During that time when I told my wife on Friday that Jorma is on Saturday at 8 she would roll her eyes and say ” that”s your thing enjoy”. The past 3,4 weeks she is watching and is asking me on Friday if Jorma has any special guests this weekend!! She enjoys the variety of John and guests bring. She also enjoys Vanessa. Saying “I like her” like she talks about a friend. I also had my 80 year old mom visiting for a weekend. I told her Jorma is on at 8. Without any disrespect she said whats that?? She sat in and stayed for the entire show!! I say it to all who listen… Jorma Kaukonen is an American treasure, tune in and find out why. Again, THANK YOU for the HARD work it must take to bring it every week.
