So… tonight at Eight PM Eastern Time we’ll be kicking off the Eighth episode of our Quarantine Concert Series. We’ve been holding off the link until late in the day because of some hacking issues we’ve had over the past couple of weeks. Remember, if you hit a paywall, it’s not us. We’re free, and always will be. If you somehow miss getting our link and advance, simply go to Fur Peace TV on YouTube at eight PM on Saturday and join in the fun. OK…

This should be it…

Yeah, so this is a totally new version of WordPress and frankly, I’m struggling, but as always in these trying times, it could be worse.

We’re trying to ready the Fur Peace Ranch for whatever comes next. Of course, like all other businesses large and small. We’re looking forward to opening with as little danger possible to us, our guests and the community.

We hope you have a great day and that you join us tonight at eight.

Stay well

The strategy of going to Costco during the last 75 minutes of opening on Sunday is working and there were very few people there…I brought the Clorox wipes I got on my first toilet paper run 2 months ago and used them to open the handles on freezers, wipe my cart handle, and gas pump handle…Lucky to have gotten those wipes because I heard they are the scarcest thing now…I wore the virus filter respirator mask that keeps me Corona safe…I heard a few giggles, since it looks like a bio warfare mask, but you can never be too careful…I asked the check-out people if their Costco had any Corona cases and they said not a single one…This is good…I’m shopping in the right place…Though I’m not sure they would have told me if they did…After packing the car I washed my legs, feet, arms, and hands with the 2 gallon jugs of water I brought and then applied 70% alcohol hand sanitizer…My only complaint was they sanitized the carts just as I got there and it looked like a half-assed effort compared to 2 months ago…Gas is $1.79 a gallon…I only need to food shop every 3 weeks…Costco got the good chicken breast back at 22 bucks for 16 big high quality boneless breasts…Toilet paper and paper towels were abundant so the run on them is over…

Gets more comfortable each week. Like we’re sitting in the living room with you, just kicked back and soaking it up. Grace under pressure. You’re an inspiration, I tell ya.

I really enjoyed #8. It was great to hear a few songs I haven’t heard live in a while: Search My Heart, Want You to Know (which never seemed to be a setlist regular), and Broken Highway. It would be great to hear Sally, Where’d You Get Your Liquor From? and Vampire Women in the weeks ahead.

Thanks to Jorma and crew for #8! These FPR Quarantine Performances have become a cherished Saturday night routine in our home. Watching it live makes us feel connected to the folks at FPR and the global audience in real time. It means a lot to us.

I’m also really enjoying the uplifting positivity in here on this quiet Sunday morning. Very much appreciated!

    Peace to all!

Music and Lyrics by Charles Johnson a southern gospel songwriter

Keep the faith everyone…Rock on Jorma!

The air and water is cleaner in a short period of time. Just think what’s possible. G

Great point JT. So true. A doctor friend shared, “the body wants to be well.” The world wants to be well too. Forests and oceans and maybe even missing species, some that heal can come back. Air can be renewed. Now the plastics and depleted uranium (think Fukishima) is another issue, but over time, things can get better…..never perfect down here.

    Like Garcia use to sing:

This world is not our home
    We are only passing through
Our trail is all made up
    Way beyond the blue
Let us do the very best that we can
While we’re travelin’ through this land
    We can all be together
    Shaking a hand (not w social/physical distancing)
When we make it to the promised land

Anyone know if Garcia or Hunter wrote this one?

Hi Jorma. Great show tonight. Thrilled with Walkin’blues, Roads & Roads &, Corners without Exits. I love it all!
You & Myron were great, and Hurl & Vanessa did a great job. You & Mr. Hurlbut have a special chemistry.
I, we, cannot be more grateful for what you and your team bring to our living rooms in this time of anxiety.
Personally, I feel a need to embrace this pandemic as an opportunity for a global shift in values. Slow down, acceptance of things as they are. God doesn’t make mistakes.
The air and water is cleaner in a short period of time. Just think what’s possible. ✌&💜

Hey, Jorma. You may be struggling, but sounds like you’re learning something new. That’s a positive struggle. I’ll be in front of my TV at seven tonight. Can’t hardly wait!
