Be there… or….

Well, another week done gone and we’ve got #36 coming up.

It’s been cold and nasty, but at least with the extreme cold, it’s not muddy. I did get one of my drones out and shot a couple of frames.

A winter wonderland here at the Ranch.

Drone shot by Jorma Kaukonen

Well, hope to ‘see’ everyone Saturday night.

Stay well

Thank you Jorma for Q#36. Thank you for all of the Q concerts. It’s Jorma’s gift that keeps on giving. The Q&A about selling your songs was a good question and a good answer. No one should fault a working artist from wanting to earn a living. Al Kooper at a concert a few years ago also addressed a similar question. Dr. K. said “my songs were like my children”. He explained that loves watching them grow and blossom, go places where he never dreamed. That’s an interesting perspective, a healthy one. And the fact that he gets paid, that’s good.

Many Thanks for the “teachable moment” on playing guitar, I will one day merge into the fast lane from the Entrance Ramp

“The River Flows” arrived today…simply outstanding! Brother John Hurl and Jorma…heck words can’t even begin to describe it so I won’t try. If you don’t have this album yet, order it and you’ll see for yourself. And kudos to Justin Guip as well…incredible recording. I cranked up the CD on my stereo and it sounded like JH & JK were live in my living room! In addition to great playing and recording, the song selection is superb. Of course, I can be outspoken on occasion (don’t get excited or be saddened as I don’t do politics on this or any other site) so the only slight bummer is that this disc didn’t go on for another hour or more 🙂 I hear there is a Volume 2 on the horizon so I happily await that disc…perhaps a 2-CD set for Volume II hopefully. Thanks to JH, JK, JG and all involved in this project. Hope to get back to FPR for some live shows this year. In the meantime, be safe and sound.
