Like so much of our country, Southeast Ohio is cold, cold, cold. My RV is nestling in it’s shed waiting for warmer days and a trip out into the world. As I was walking the dogs this morning in the 18 degree chill, I remembered that years ago in northern Sweden while speed skating I used to imagine I heard the wound of wolves in the darkness that wrapped most of the winter days. I realize now that those circling creatures were only heard by me as I tried to navigate a dark season in my life.

Now the only dark season is the winter outside our windows and the sounds of keening are real too as coyotes roam through our forest here at the Fur Peace Ranch.

Good times!

I’ve had my second Pfizer shot, Spring is distantly visible and we’ve got a live Quarantine Concert (to wit #38) for you all tonight! How good does it have to get?

Take note!

I don’t have the link for tonight’s Quarantine Concert yet but just go to YouTube at 8PM and find Fur Peace TV and we’ll all ‘see’ you then!

Here is the YouTube page link.

More will be revealed.

Stay well!

Here is the link folks!

See ya later…

Hi Jorma: Your post on Ferlinghetti reminded me of how much I enjoyed the poetry readings you did toward the beginning of the Quarantine broadcasts. Any thoughts on bringing back that component of the show? I would love to hear you read some of your favorite poems.

I agree Call Me the Breeze was really good. I was doing some chores and was walking around listening on headphones. Had that pull your car over and listen to the radio moment. Same thing with That Will Never Happen No More. Just great

Heartfelt thanks for sharing your music with us during this past year. Your songs, your stories, your guests and your lovely Vanessa have been a bright light on some of the darkest days. I am so happy to hear you got your vaccination! O Happy Day!

    @jorma,

About winterizing your RV, I am going to make my 30′ Class “A” Itasca an all weather unit (as long as there is 120v available, I am adding a heat trace line from the water heater up front, out the water closet and along the water supply hose to and including the spigot and cover it all with insulation. In addition I am going to make a snap on/off skirt completely around the coach, this will help keep it from freezing underneath and for Super Cold nights you can put a 150 watt heat lamp under there to help keep thing warm. Don’t forget to close all AC vents in the ceiling to keep interior heat from escaping, unless that is your heating supply, ours is in the floor. We like to keep our RV up and ready for guests to use when they come to visit, if there are more than 2 in the back bedroom. Quick Question, do you have RV hook ups at Fur Peace Ranch? Love you guys for doing what you do to keep the music alive 😉

I got both Moderna doses. The second one was yesterday. It was a white knuckle ride for me. Had most of the symptoms, The finale was waking in the middle of the night, drenched in so much sweat, I had to use a hairdryer on my bed so I could sleep on it. Fun times. It’s worth it though. This too shall pass

I haven’t had my first shot yet, opens up to 65+ here in Nevada soon, I’m not so worried about me but my wife has Shogruns, a form of Lupus, and if she got covid it would probably kill her, then I wouldn’t have someone to watch Saturday Night Quarantine Concerts with 🙁 We’ve got our Gaggle of Guitars around and all tuned in case one of us wants to pick one up and start playing along. Looking forward to having our back yard porch covered next Spring so I can sit on the swing and play guitar with my friends out back, can’t do that now cuz we got snow.Thank you for tonight’s show guys, I’ll see about dropping something in the tip jar for you tonight.

Crazier’n hell down here, ya’ll. Public utilities? Right! People going nuts just trying to get drinking water. I’m a little south of Houston right now. We lost power for 12 hours, but the day after the brutal cold, so I can’t complain. Boil water ban on til Monday, but we’re stocked enough to get by. Got the first half of my Pfizer double dose yesterday. My son’s family appears to have recovered from their brush with the COVID. So, all things considered, my family has been blessed in this time of great stress. I’m ready to plop down in front of the TV with my guitar this evening and watch my favorite show.

You are the best, Jorma. So right: How good does it have to get?
(I recently got my 2d shot too – spring definitely on the horizon!)

And I have to say it yet again – without you and Vanessa and the whole crew, I would not have made it to this point with my sanity intact…Or at least as intact as it ever was…

Congratulations on getting the second shot. That must add some light to the darkness. Did Vanessa get hers as well ? Any ill effects ?
