We just enjoyed an amazing weekend at the Fur Peace Ranch! David Wolff, Tom Feldmann and I were the instructors and we had a wonderful group of students.

I think Tom Feldmann took this picture, but I can’t remember.
As always, there were a plethora of great guitars and a number of David Flammang’s beauties. Good times!
Saturday night rolled around and Tom Felmann did a stunning first set! After a suitable break Hurl and I took the stage.

Yeah… What a night!
Before we knew it… Monday morning was there and we had a final class and bid a fond farewell to our pickin’ pals!

Another great FPR weekend with stunning Fall weather, as you can see!
Good morning all,
Anyone like me who loved the J-50 during the Quarantine Concerts might want to revisit the “Live at New Orleans House” album if you haven’t heard it in a while. You will be smiling.
(And I never thought I’d be nostalgic for anything about the pandemic, but I’ll treasure those Saturday nights for the rest of my life. They meant so much to so many of us).
Politics is like money, it gets between family and friends. Best left at home. Don’t let them get you down!
As if I needed another reason to read such a great magazine, I see Jorma has an interview in MOJO. Looking forward to it.

The Songchaser SoulJahs at a moment of much deserved rest. Your’s is some big, important work emanating Vibrations out across the Hearts of this Land. Like, Ripples in still waters, even.
Bless you Fellas, and Madam too
I saw Susan way back yonder opening for B.B. King. Needless to say, I was impressed. I’ll be keeping an eye open for the pair and their band passing this way. Love to see ‘em. Damn sure’d be a kick to catch them with Mr. K in the mix.
This may not be the appropriate place for this but a friend / customer of mine plays jazz guitar professionally and was instrumental in starting a small theatre and music venue. When I mentioned seeing you again at The Beacon, he of course knew of you and said it would be great to book you there (as if I have any idea how to make that happen?). At any rate, if you’re interested when back in this area you have my e-mail and I will respond with venue contact info etc..
@carey georgas
Thank You Carey for the heads up. TTB are the nicest bunch of people you could ever meet as well as a great band, it’s no wonder they are as close to Jorma as they are.
@carey georgas
I’m glad you told me it was on youtube. It is a better quality video. The one I viewed was at a further distance and recorded with a fan’s phone.
@Arlen
Believe I fountit on the youtube. 17 minutes worth. Thanks for the reply.
John H. is a class act! Much appreciation for all he’s done at and for FPR all these years! Thanks, John! Bless up for sure.
@carey georgas
Just google Jorma Kaukonen twitter then scroll down You don’t need an account to view it. I don’t have one
@Arlen
Damn. That’s one song I been working on and I don’t tweet. Wonder if it’s somewhere else to be heard?
If you get a chance, you should listen to Jorma sitting in with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. It’s on his Twitter account. His guitar playing on “Don’t Think Twice,It’s All Right” is sublime. Particularly the vibrato. The only other player I have heard that can use it that well is Eric Clapton.
Check out the trailer for the new Matrix movie too. They use “White Rabbit”. It’s really good. Like watching MTV when it first started and could be interesting at times
That’s what I’m talkin’ about!
