Yeah, Jack is in town and we not only got some rehearsing done but we got to play a gig up in Lancaster at the Mill Event Center. It’s our first gig in almost a half a year and we both had to allow that it had been way too long! As you can see from the photo above Nessa brought goodies from the Fur Peace Ranch and sales were hot! Jack and I had been champing at the bit during rehearsals and there we were in front of a live audience! Good times!

It was frosty when this photo was taken the other night but it’s in the high 50’s today.
We’ll take it and as always, more will be revealed!
Just heard from a friend who had a doctor’s appointment in a room at the Chelsea that Janis use to stay in….It was some kind of MDNA or other related therapy session.
Jorma, next time the family pops into NYC, maybe make a visit. Last time I was there the lobby was a simple little spot.
Turned some heads w Genesis, Serpent, and Embryonic this weekend. Made some cash so I will buy you a soup and salad should I ever get back to Ohio again. Thanks for the fingerpicking, melodic, and direction on the ‘tone”.

Great article in The NY Times and lots of other info about her available on the google

@Tom NY
Thanks, Tom.
Sublime? It’s hard for me to be objective. She may be from the wrong side of the tracks, but she was my first. Just holding her can feel sublime.
@Ed
Ed, The tone will tell you what to do. To produce good tone, one must know what good tone sounds like, what sublime tone sounds like.
If one grew up listening AND hearing good quality production/music, then that will help define the goal…. So sad what kids are being bombarded with today.
@Jorma
Thanks very much, Jorma. I truly appreciate your wisdom and guidance.
Good morning, Jorma:
I realize you don’t have as much time to answer questions as last year, but I’m curious about this:
When you and Jack started doing acoustic blues together, did you need to adjust how often or at what times you played in lower register?
I ask because a luthier brought my – ok, every can laugh now – 50-year-old Yamaha FG-75 back to life and I’m totally in love with the sound at the bottom. Made me wonder about any different playing you may do down there when alone vs. with Jack.
I did not… I just brought what I knew to the table and the music adapted itself. I depends on what your musical goals are. Perhaps your old guitar is telling you what to do as mine often do. Give it a listen but don’t over think it.
@eaglesteve
Thanks, eaglesteve. Your reminders are much appreciated.

Yes, FL in February. These boys are as smart as they are talented. See you in Clearwater.
How blessed we all are.
Meanwhile, I see some Florida bookings. Thank you, my prayers have been answered♡
Let the good times roll! Is there a better cure for the “mortality blues” than a good run on the road? Forever young, says I! Howdy, Jack.
