So I’m driving our daughter back from the gym at Athens High School and we look out the window a we head south on Rt. 33. The grass… Spring green… the cows… happy to be out of the barn. Temperature in the low 70’s.
Delightful!
Then this morning as I headed out to walk the dogs and feed the cats. 17 degrees Fahrenheit. Good grief. Early Spring weather. You just have to love it.
Moving right along.
Yes, there you have it. The link for tonight’s show which would be #44. I’ll be there. Will you?
Stay well!
Forty plus four on 4/3.
Throughout this year of QC I am always struck by the obvious: the camera eye proximity to the fretting and picking, the song histories and back stories, and the tech explanations. Such insights don’t come through in the same way in an auditorium of 300 or 10,000. Thanks for the insights. I’ve heard intimacy described as being in-to-me-see. A year later, it sounds and feels like the times are coming to zoom out and get back into the auditoriums.
Happy Easter Sun morn and Spring indeed.
Allelu, Allelu
hello jorma,,and happy easter sunday, one of the nicest times of the year.Temps rising and buds popping. Did you ever share a bill with rory gallagher?
A brief interface at the original Lone Star in NYC in the 80’s.
Thank you Jorma & crew for the show last night. My wife has dealt with this covid shit for the las year as a RN in a hospital in South Jersey for the last year. Jorma your weekly shows have given her a escape weekly from the nit wits. Thank you for make in our life better.
Facebook – never tried it, never will. Faces are faces, books are books, the way I sees it, and never the twain shall meet, excepting when one illustrates the other.
Kicked the Facebook thing over a year ago. Better than getting off the stuff that made me crazy.
And I thought I was the only one who didn’t trust Zuckerberg
Same here re Facebook.
Being friends with people in real life is lots of fun, and I highly recommend it!

@John B
Yep that global warming will get you every time. Looking forward to seeing Hurl out on the road this summer with you Jorma. Hurl is the best….. @Brian Doyle
Wicked cold for April down here on Sanibel…Global warming sending unseasonable pulses far south due to an energized atmosphere…
Question- Jorma, I’m not on facebook so I’m submitting a question here. Maybe you can answer during the show. Saw you at the sweetwater in mill valley around 1992-1995. Solo acoustic. Towards the end of the first set who enters but Dana Carvey with a man and woman.
Your set break must have lasted an hour that evening. Wondering if you can share some of the laughs that had to be going on during the break.
Thank you, Vanessa, John and the whole crew. Love these shows.
See you at Vinoski in a month.
“Keep your lamps………….”
Hi Ollie… I don’t Facebook either. What a load off my mind. 🙂 We’ll see how the question pans out.
We are having similar weather here in NC. Everything is starting to get green, including my driveway, and it’s 23 this morning!! The dogs went running out, when they hit the ground off the deck they turned to look at me with a WTF look???!!! Like it was my fault!! They didn’t stay out long 🙂 Looking forward to tonight. Thanx for keeping it going.
From 70 to 17. Maybe there’s a song in there somewhere, Jorma.
I’m loving the warmer days, with the metal ladder in my back the cold weather just makes me want to stay in bed and hibernate. I bought a FOURTH guitar, for the price I just had to get me a nice Harley Benton Classical Guitar. Looks beautiful and plays easily and may make a great Christmas gift for one of the kids once Momma has used it to break in her fingers. The Carson Valley is Beautiful this time of year. Also getting the RVB cleaned up and ready, just in case Jorma, Vanessa and Izzy make a trip out here and need a place to stay 😉
Now, if that ain’t a pastoral scene, I don’t know pastoral. We have a saying down here: “If you don like the weather in Texas, just wait a few minutes.” In answer to your question, I will.
