This was our final gig with our good friends the David Bromberg Band. David is a dear old friend of man and all the guys in his band have become old friends! We love hanging with these superb artists and we will miss the.
On down the road brothers!
Zei gesundt!
Watching Hot Tuna in those days gave me the courage to pursue my dreams.
@john o
As I recall HT played two shows on those nights. We always went to the late one that lasted to sunrise. Then a train ride back to Trenton NJ
@Joe k & John o…….HT on LSD first timer Oct 7,71 Town Hall NYC……know those Academy shows all too well…..did the hitch up to Lenox Mass July 75…….met Jack post show…..wound up with backstage passes for Hofstra/CW Post/ Lincroft NJ shows……what a 50 year timeline and still going strong……had to miss Redbank but saw them there their 3 previous visits……god bless to all the Tuna family…& stay safe out there…….have a happy 81 captain………
@Joe K
Those Academy of Music shows were epic. Hot Tuna would play Fri and Sat shows every spring and fall there on 14th street. The shows would start at 8pm and end at 5am. I remember driving home on the LIE and watching the sun come up. Then later that day do it again. It was all so psychedelic. If you’ve never seen Hot Tuna on acid you missed out. Ahh the good old days. It’ll never happen again.
The wife & I enjoyed seeing HT at the Count Basie last Sunday. We caught Jorma for his solo tours the past 1 1/2 yrs. but it was great to see Jack again.
I was lucky to first see HT in 1971 at the Philly Academy of Music followed by many Academy shows in NY.
50 yrs & more then 50 shows. Thanks Guys its been great.
That Burlington show looks amazing. 2-40 plus year old friends were there, my loss. Both said you boys were on fire. Keep on keepin on fellas!
@queequeg
Ahoy, Queequeg! Call me Ishmael. Thanks for the link, and for the kindness of strangers.

Wow. The Capitol Theater Sessions looks more than a little interesting. Quite the musical melange.
Thanks Ed.
And so am I.
Jorma- Looking forward to seeing/hearing you and your team this evening. I always enjoy your setlists but you can go heavy on Rev. Davis this evening and we’ll keep the lamps……….
@eaglesteve
You are the best with the key dates.
I’d like to note another anniversary, 80 years ago today, in Hawaii.
I am eternally grateful to all those who sacrificed so much.
Good to see U guys in Red Bank NJ. Come back soon!
Happy Anniversary #34 Vanessa & Jorma, and best wishes for many more.
Great stuff Jorma! Hopefully you’ll be able to hit the northwest next year! Spokane wants you back! You need to check out Grand Coulee Dam if you’ve never seen it! I remember Vanessa saying you wanted to road trip thru here and it’s a must see! Thank you for all you do. Bernal’s in Spokane.
