44 Here We Come!

Don’t miss it folks. I’ll be on the chat… more will be revealed.

And speaking of more…

The Eric Clapton Strat…

Big thanks to my pal Marc for this beauty. Someone thought there might be a locking nut. Nope. I have no use for that, and changing strings on a Strat is demanding enough as it is. This beauty does have a piezo pickup under the bridge, hence the xtra knob.

Are you sure Hank done it thisaway?

Laptop with Eventide Tutorial on the Black Hole Delay… The Eric Clapton Strat makes a great controller. Good times now, but better on down the road. Big thanks to Anthony Agnello for this!

‘See’ ya Saturday night!

No I am Richard K that sat next to you at Bolton..Funny but have noticed there are a few “Richards” who post on here..Was a popular name in the 50s when I am sure lots of HT fans were born..And yes am sure that the FPR vibe is a beautiful thing..As you know all shows have been moved and I was supposed to go last Nov. but looking forward to this Nov. show at the Ranch..Me and a buddy will be taking an 8 hour car ride..Have not driven that far for a show since seeing the Grateful Dead in the late 70s early 80s..Going to be well worth it!!!

Are Richard and Richard K one and the same? Thought it might have been Richard at Boulton . that’s lucky to be going to the ranch. After watching the quarantine shows, hearing the camaraderie between Vanessa and all, and speaking on the phone with John Hurlbut re a company store purchase, I am absolutely sure that there is a beautiful, welcoming vibe to be experienced there. Sweet! Enjoy!

Hey Richard… I like the neck. It’s a little narrow for some of my fingerstyle stuff but as i get to know it I think it could be a love affair.

Yes, I am, Richard my “next seat neighbor” at Jorma’s book signing concert at the Boulton Center a few years ago! Last Days of the Fillmore, Reefer Madness, Let the GoodTimes Roll…the Hicksville mall theater and the Huntington cinema arts had some too. I’ve actually been working in Uniondale for 38 plus years now at DSS, and in a Union, harking back to the Union posts a few weeks ago. Be well, my friend. Paramount in November!

I have about 20 discs of live recordings downloaded from early days of this site.
I’ll be giving those away when storage locker is soon closed. If I get the OK from you, sir, I could post on eBay and someone here can have for shipping cost. If not, someone else will take them.

    @Ed
I remember that! And Jack was introduced as a “devil, devil of a man” if I remember the movie “ last days of the Fillmore” correctly. It was one of those we used to see at midnight movies on Long Island!

Good morning, Jorma, and Happy Passover to all.
My cassette archives yielded a Hot Tuna Fillmore show, dated 7/3/71, at which Bill Graham introduced you as “the sex symbol of Scandinavia.” Maybe there’s a t-shirt there…

Yeah Ed… that’s from that Last Days Of The Fillmore on Market St. series. Thanks for the thought… I’m a little long in the tooth for this one. Keep smiling!

“With music and dance, on the harp and lyre” let us celebrate this weekend of Passover and the worm full moon!
Zappa’s “Stratocaster with a whammy bar” comes to mind.

    Cheers

It would be great to hear you take the Strat out for a “spin”–maybe on one of John’s songs.

Beautiful guitar and your entry on life and the loss of another friend almost brought a tear to my eyes. Your unique ability to tie the loss of your friend together with the miracle of spring and the bringing forth of life was lovely. Thank you for sharing and i hope to see you out on the road sometime this year . May God continue to bless you and yours. ……..

It would be great if you can get E. C. out to the Ranch……
