Home, Home, Home… but first:

A couple days late, but no dollars short. It’s been a couple of years since we were up at Lake Tahoe in Crystal Bay. The Virus has short changed everything up here as it has in so many places but life is slowly bubbling back. At least one hopes so.

A great way to finish a Friday! No accommodations in Laytonville so after this show it was down to Ukiah for the evening and on Saturday back to the Festival!
I was looking forward to seeing Wavy and Jah and… it felt like coming home!

Then it was showtime!

It was a fantastic two week run, good to be home though.
Here’s a little trip down memory lane:

You can’t make this stuff up.
Great old photo Jorma. I like that it shows how things really were backstage in man clubs of the times. Equipment and cords and finding some space to work out some parts with each other.
Jorma! Thanks so much to you, Jack and your gang for a great show at Crystal Bay Casino! On your “advice” we went to see Chef Charlie at Soule Domain and had a wonderful pre show meal! Chef Charlie sends his regards and was regretting he missed your visit! Further!
Jorma, on Feb. 25, 2010 Hot Tuna played at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City, do you remember that? How would a person go about getting Hot Tuna invited back to play there. I’m kicking myself for missing your performance in Crystal Bay, only 20 minutes away from me 🙁
Damn, I shouldn’t have missed this, I need to pay more attention. That place is only 20 minutes away from my house. I’ve been too busy being concerned about a few health issues and didn’t see this coming 🙁 I hope there is going to be another show close by in the next 5 years, I may not be here after that
Saw a good film last night. The Mountain Minor. A very simple movie highlighting the centrality of music to that microcosm called Appalachia. All kinds of old mountain tunes played by the people who live there and grew up with them. Worth a watch if you like that sort of thing, or hell, if you like music period.
Wonderful to see you with the Gravies.
Peace✌🏻️❤️Love All Ways🔥🚲🌹🙏🏻🖖🏼
What was played with Chris and Charlie? Step It Up And Go?
Nope… Charlie played solo guitar, harp with me on a couple of numbers, Chris solo with a bunch of new songs and the three of us closed with a shuffle in G Charlie called and sang.
