I drive over to San Francisco on New Year’s Eve for good Japanese lunch. A fine way to close out the year! Back at the hotel in Oakland it was a day of football and looking out the window.

It was a fourteen plus hour two flight trip, but we got there!

A day home to do some laundry and Myron and I headed out north to Spring Lake, Michigan where I will play a two set show on the 6th at the Seven Steps Up!

Glad to see you flew back easily – we’re sitting in the Jefferson Campervan in Portugal for an extra week due to a positive Covid test that prevented us flying out! (despite double vax + booster, always social distancing and wearing KN95s – this Omicron is super contagious. But no serious symptoms). At least Odin is with us and doesn’t pine in front of a computer screen! 😎🚐

Thanks for the link. Watching Jefferson Airplane play with all that chaos swirling around them took, well, balls! I’ve never seen Gram Parsons play with the Flying Burrito Brothers. Interesting even with no sound.
Hey Jorma and Myron,
Way to brave the elements. Thank you.
I did not know you were playing at the Seven
Steps right in my back yard. Oh well, I’ll see you tomorrow night at the Ark in Ann Arbor.
Tom.

Our Great American Experiment, on this Jan. 6 of all days, feels a bit more peace filled just knowing that you Jorma are out there traveling “This Land” doing what you do!
Inspiring!

Man, this post is,like, pre-pandemic in its qualities. Has a nice, casual, ambling-like nature to it. Proof positive that life is returning something approaching normal. Glad you’re home safely, and can’t hardly wait to get some schooling next weekend. Onward!
