There are some majestic spaces in this great land of ours. I need a little time with my RV!
Jorma –
We are so excited for the show in Iowa City. Hip! Hip! Hooray!
Found the blog and while reading I can hear your lovely voice after listening to you read your story. Lovely!!
We are very excited to have you in Iowa and near us. Please let us know your schedule as you come closer. Any layover time to kill? THE WHOLE CREW is welcome to come. Plenty of beds, great food and a peaceful setting. Mason City is your spot. Greene is closer if the workshop is a target.
Anywhere, anytime, we are eager to host!
Stay in touch. I think David has a few (3-4) specs strung up and ready to party. He also has a number of custom orders slated for shipping.
Is Vanessa with you? OMG. Would be so fun to see the WHOLE Crew.

@Arlen
Spot on, Arlen.
Its 25 years ago today that Live in Japan was recorded. There’s a wikipedia explanation of both cd releases and the differences between the two. Here’s hoping the rest of that show is put out someday. Just sayin’.
Nothing to do with Knuckleheads or the current tour but instead a diversion for we gearheads who had Jorma blast us out of the concert venues back in the day with his L-5 solidbody: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVplayh99C4
A new Pendleton and new BIKE BOOTS.
With a brand new Kansas City Pendleton and maybe a St. Louis Stagga Lee Stetson too, the once little boys from Northwest, Jorma and Jack not unlike Lewis and Clark, are still out there exploring the territories of the frontier, appropriately the HEARTland.
Indeed, Arlen, each post “fires the imagination!” And, Knuckleheads is always a funny, loaded word.
Rock and Roll, HFT
The sound at Knucklehead’s is great!! Our favorite place.
The setlist was delightful. But my favorite part was when you said you’d be back!!
“The life of the open road.” How fortunate we are Jorma gives us a glimpse of it. I look forward to every picture posted and text written Fires the imagination.
Appreciate the sentiment, Carey. The ice and snow and flooding are mildly alarming, but if takes a raft and a bargepole or a dogsled, we will make it nonetheless. Hard to fathom it’s been almost exactly two years since their last stop here for the last gig before the QCs.
@J.R. in St. Louis
If you have half as much fun as we did in Tomball, we’ll have had twice as much as you. Enjoy. They were great when I saw ‘em.
Welcome to town. Sorry for the inhospitable weather. Looking forward to hearing some fine wooden music in the acoustically excellent Sheldon this evening. Hope you have as good a time playing as we expect to have listening.
Sorry we can’t be there this time. Some of our friends will be in the front row of the balcony. Be careful on the road, it’s getting a bit hairy out there right now, and have a fun show!
