I’m going to write at greater length about our musical chats with Steve, but for now this will have to do.
A more than great time!
Jorma, give a shout out to my long time buddy Gary tonight on Long Island. He turned me on to HT and Double Dose back in 1980 in that little college town of Athens, Ohio. Been a huge fan ever since. Kind of cool that you ended up making SE Ohio your home. All the best to you, Jack, and Justin.
Hi Jorma. Your site says Bromberg is not with you at Pontre Vedra. The venue says he is with you. Any clarification?
He is with me… or me with him… anyway…
Must be fun touring this time of year, and seeing how different towns dress themselves up for the holidays. Here’s to a good one for you and yours. Thanks for the music, and I hope to see you in northern California again next year.
Perfect, Vital, Comforting to the ‘nth degree. Important. Grateful. Steve is astonishing. Justin, on the money. Jack and Jorma, priceless.
Hindsight always points out the obvious. How could a horn fit in on Bowlegged Woman? Jazz it up, and I reckon a horn could fit most any tune. Mr. Bernstein did a masterful job overlaying a hard driving blues song with what sounded at times, as best I could hear, like a free jazz riff. Fit in wonderfully. Kudos to him and Hot Tuna for stretching the imagination in such a creative way.
Hot Tuna and New Jersey: two great tastes that go great together. (Tongue firmly in cheek on the NJ part.)
Good morning ,,,I am ready for my Double Dose !! See you guys tonight ..Cant wait !!
Hope you have a great weekend here on Long Island ..Peace always to my FPR friends
Great show last night at The Wellmont Theater! Steve Bernstein added a unique dimension to a familiar repertoire.
