So during Sleep Song in the first set (I shudder when I say this) the battery in the pickup of mu ‘acoustic’ guitar gave up with an unpleasant sound. I passed the guitar off to Myron and picked up my Beano Les Paul and Jack and Justin and I just blew for a while. The audience got a rare taste of Old School San Francisco musical anarchy.
Good times…

A drive today to San Diego through what seemed like endless traffic. SoCal… gotta love it!
I was walking through the village of Scarsdale NY last Saturday when I came upon a yellow VW Beetle which had flower power and peace sign decals splattered all over it. It had NY plates which read 1HOTTUNA and the license plate cover had the HT motto “If you don’t know Jorma, You don’t know Jack.”

You guys were an inspiration to me as a tad (though I do realize you’ve always just been amazing musicians, not some sort of avatars) and you still inspire me today as an old man. You show it is possible to keep the flame not only burning, but flaring, making age irrelevant. I mean, I know it is relevant in a relative way, but there you are, rollin’ down the highway, bringing joy from town to town, still livin’ it and still lovin’ it. Your example helps me to growl back at Father Time when he tries to make me think “it’s too late”, or some other such absurdity. I accept that I don’t have the physical prowess of the days of yore, but it can’t take my curiosity or willingness to try new things. Your posts along the way serve as guideposts to me on the road to enjoying life as long as I got it. Onward, says I.
Beautiful picture
Hope all is well…my regards to everyone..
Safe travels

Speaking of SoCal, today we celebrate our good friend David Crosby’s 81rst birthday. An amazing “feat” indeed
