We’ve got a mayor’s election coming here in Athens, Ohio and Vanessa lined up John Hurlbut and myself to provide a little musical interlude at a fund raiser for Steve Patterson the current mayor. The event was held at the Little Fish Brewing Company and it was a perfect place for the gathering. Steve has done a great job for Athens in his previous terms and he more than deserves another one.
Vanessa recruited John Hurlbut and myself to provide a little musical interlude and we were more than happy to do so.

Anyway without going overboard check out Steve’s bona fides. If you like what you see and live in Athens, Ohio make sure you’re registered to vote and do so!
Nuff said!
So wonderful to see you involved in the Athens community. I went to OU and have been to FPR a couple of times as a student. I’m actually thinking of making Athens my home again, and hearing this sort of stuff makes it sound like a good choice. Athens is a special place, and so is FPR. Thanks Jorma.
Just got 4th row at the Beacon…Can’t wait to be at the electric send off…I’m a lucky f****r…
Just started a book titled “Industrial Strength Bluegrass” (Southwestern Ohio’s Musical Legacy). Just early into it, however, it is interesting, informative, and entertaining….a triumvirate for a book!
Great place for a fund-raiser: If you go, leave me a dime for Patterson….
It appears Athens has a respectable, fair minded, and likeable mayor.
I’m happy to see you and Hurl put your hat in the mix. We all have to contribute what we can to keep this experiment called democracy alive! Thank you Jorma!
Roots at the grass root level.
