If this doesn’t say most of it… what will?

Well… ‘Tis the season folks so whatever your inclinations, enjoy and revere.

It’s still chilly down here in Southeast Ohio as Jack and I ready ourselves for our Spring Tour. We’ll be complaining about the heat before you know it. Thursday last The Original Acoustic Hot Tuna had our first gig of 2023 up in Columbus with our friends at Natalie’s Grandview, one of the finest club venues in existence.

I gotta share an experience I figure someone on here might appreciate. I was doing volunteer work on a Nature Conservancy Preserve here today. I helped the preserve manager update a survey of this little flowering plant that grows on that preserve, and no other known place on earth. It is federally listed as rare and endangered. Phlox nivalis, common name trailing phlox. It was my first time participating in a survey and I’m no way no how a biologist, but I found two groups of the plant that had not been previously seen. I can only describe the feeling of adding to the known population of such a rare plant as exhilarating. Conservation can be fun!

Yeah, and it was reported he was active pretty up close to the end. That we should all live life so fully. Jack’s working on it. Happy Birthday!

RIP Al Jaffe. One of the most delightful “corruptor of young minds” from my generation’s youth.

Ever have any of that shmura matzo, the kind Jorma is holding in the photo? It’s more like the old-time blues of matzo – the real deal. Highly recommend it!

Jorm, remember…”Matzah…it tastes as good as the box it came in.” HA!

With proper attention, the matzoh can be an integral part of some fine thin crust pizza
