Interim Report

Chilly but Spring nonetheless

Chilly but Spring nonetheless

My son Zachary’s Spring Break was over yesterday and he’s back at school today. I’ll miss that young man, but we’ll be seeing him again in a month or so. Izze just took her theory test in piano yesterday and aced it. An almost six years of age, she reads music better than I. Chuck and Donna are visiting from California and we’re having a great time showing them the ‘sights.’

This weekend we have another camp at the Fur Peace Ranch with Marjorie Thompson, myself as well as Larry Campbell and Happy Traum.

Time at home has been great and well… what more could one want at this moment in time?

Yep, we're smiling!

Yep, we're smiling!

Great Picture 🙂 I was able to catch Larry and Theresa at one of the Phil and Friends shows in Marin. Man, they were good. I also really loved the acoustic “Trimmed and Burning” on FPR’s youtube channel. Theresa killed it!

What a great looking couple! It’s nice to see you sit back and enjoy life with your family at home. You are always a very giving person, it’s good to sit back and “take it in” You both are are very blessed. Happy Spring to all at the Ranch from our Farm!

Probably off the subject a little, but wanted to post. Just got the DVD from the Beacon. And just wanted to thank Jorma and Jack for making this available and letting me relive the experience. I was at both shows and it was definitely a highlight in my Tuna Concert-attending career. On a 1-10 basis I give it an eleven! Gave it one extra point because I can actually see myself on the front cover!!! how cool is that. Maybe jorma will sign it for me one day 🙂

A distant voice always close by.
    Happy Sweet Birthday Jack!
Your music stands glistering and strong like a matutinal daffodil in the tender touch of April.
    Thanks for your hospitality Jorma.

You are the absolutely – THE BEST bass player ever!!! When I first saw you guys play, my old friends Ronnie and Richie took me to my first Tuna show ever. It was back in April,1973. Front center seats, right in front of Jack. When he hit his first chord – I thought a 747 landed on the roof of the concert hall. Blew me away. Been a fan ever since. Many, many more!!!

Happy birthday to John William from Norway too! Today, april 14, is my birthday and guess what; my son gave me a Jack Casady Signature Bass, words can’t describe what that means to me. What a son, he is 20. Son & father were in Stockholm last december and we watched Jorma the King, we have just got our Beacon DVD and i’m really in heaven!

Jorma! Did not know you celebrated Pesach! Good to know. I happen to have two (all that I could find after so many years) photos of you from the early 70’s when Hot Tuna played Buffalo, NY. I was a contributing photographer with the SUNY Buffalo student paper. There is one of you straight on and one of you, Jack Casady and an unidentified guitar player (rhythm I believe) strung out on stage. Nice photos. I am thinking the year was 1972. If you can give me an email address I’d be happy to scan and send them…
