On the way to the Hilo Cafe

On the way to the Hilo Cafe

Our time on the Big Island will always be treasured. What a blast. Back to ‘work’ yesterday. I had a nice walk around the Naniloa area.

…and then it was time to go to Honoka’a and the People’s Theater.

What a great artistic community they have in Honoka’a… and the People’s Theater has the greatest sound imaginable.

What a great place!

The simplicity and soulfulness of the establishment was indeed the shape of things to come.

There was a little apartment on the second floor where we were able to rest a little bit. When I looked at the bookshelf, it was a window in time to one of my old apartments in San Francisco in the 60’s. All the same books…

Great looking set lists Jorma. I hope everyone enjoyed hearing Jack play the Diana bass as much as I did down at the Fur Peace in March. I will see you guys in a couple of weeks and I can tell you that everyone that I know is very much looking forward to the upcoming shows.

Just got back from a fabulous time on the big Island. We at at a great italian place right near the theatre, had a pizza and some really fresh salad and got in just in time for the show. And what a show it was… the sound at the people’s theatre was just so crystal clear… Maybe it was where we were sitting. Anyway thanks for sharing 2 great evenings with us…

    Mahalo!

Reading about the recent death of YES bassist Chris Squire from leukemia makes me all the more thankful the world still has Jack Casady to make love to our eardrums. RIP, Mr. Squire, some fine times were had from your music. m
