We’ve been riding in rain suits for the last three or four days, and don’t get me wrong… when it’s raining on a motorcycle there is nothing like a rainsuit. I will say when the ambient road temperatures ranges from the nineties to triple digits one really looks forward to a sunny day. Well, when we left Jackson, Mississippi this morning it was raining, but before we got here to Memphis a bright blue sky made it’s presence felt. Yeah… good stuff!

So let’s see, hurricane Alex kept us away from our Gulf Coast trip so what could be next? Graceland… that’s what! Yes folks, tomorrow I will make my first trip to Graceland. I know it’s not Monticello or Mt. Vernon, but it is roadside America at it’s finest and Elvis certainly affected me and mine back in the fifties. Like I said, I’ve never been there so i don’t know what to expect. I will, however report on it tomorrow evening. After our examination of this important piece of Americana it’s back to back roads as we wend our way back to Southeast Ohio.

In the meantime, it’s not raining, riding motorcycles is great and life is good.

You will love Graceland. Went there with tongue in cheek and really enjoyed it.
